Are eggs considered dairy?

The simple answer is yes.

Anyone who argues otherwise doesn't understand much about modern agriculture. They are probably a city slicker or just plain dumb.

While some today in the modern age would question eggs as dairy because they come from chicken, rather than cows, this argument is false. the prevailing definition of "dairy" is broader than just of or from a cow. It refers to animal products that come from a farm.

Therefore, products under the "dairy" category include, but are not limited to: milk, eggs, bacon, butter and products derived from milk eggs and butter, such as ice cream, pudding, and cream.

This conclusion has been well established from time immemorial. While an internet search may uncover many elitist challenges -- claims that dairy must come from a cow -- these claims are simply an un-American effort to create a "purer" definition of dairy. Some have suggested this is a concerted effort, perhaps even a conspiracy, from the American Cattle Ranchers Association (ACRA).
